Son of Alabama state senator arrested on domestic violence charge

The son of Alabama state Senator Vivian Davis Figures was arrested on a domestic violence charge early Tuesday morning.

Akil Figures, 36, was booked into Metro Jail charged with Domestic Violence 3rd (Menacing), according to jail records. The incident comes months after he was wounded during a shooting in Foley in June.

Figures has a significant arrest record in Alabama, ranging from drug charges, giving false information, and various traffic offenses, according to court documents.
